FALL LEAF HUNT!
Today we took advantage of the warm, dry afternoon to go on a leaf hunt and to collect a variety of Fall leaves. First, we read the book, Why Do Leaves Change Color? We learned a lot of information about leaves and how they help trees. We then headed outside for our leaf hunt! After collecting leaves, we did leaf rubbings in our classroom. Stay tuned for future activities we will do with the leaves we collected!

VISIT TO OUR CLASS TREE
We took advantage of the beautiful weather today to make a visit to our class tree. We investigated and discussed the bark of the tree. Then, we did bark rubbings. We ended with a story called, A Tree Is Nice. We noticed that our tree is beginning to lose its leaves and the leaves are beginning to change color.

Last Friday, the Pre-K cooks made a fruit tart. Children helped cut the fruit, make the crust, and make the filling. Of course, the best part was eating the finished result!
